We do not charge a fee to volunteer with our organization in Huancayo. We do ask that our volunteers cover the cost of their food and housing.

This cost is small but allows us to maintain our program while not charging volunteers who graciously give their time to help local Peruvians. We do not profit from our volunteers and any surplus that is gained from fees is goes directly to our programs.

The cost break down for volunteers is below:
The program cost sharing for volunteers is $95 USD per week which includes:

o Accommodation in the volunteer house
o Three meals a day, seven days a week
o Facilitation and support of volunteer activities
o Guided weekend exploration excursions
o Transportation within Huancayo
o Planned activities with local organizations

The Andean Outreach Program is a small “grass-roots” non-profit set up to support volunteer efforts in South America. Because of this, there are some responsibilities that volunteers must take care of:

o Air fare to and from Peru
o Valid Passport
o Health Insurance / medical expenses if needed
o Required vaccinations
o Evacuation insurance
o Any special equipment for the project (ie: computer or camera)
o Spending money
